I haven't really had a chance to keep you all updated on our trip....
Day 3 - Sea World San Diego: After a weather scare (it was pouring here when we were planning to leave for the park), we made it to the park. It was empty! Good for us...we saw all the big shows--dolphins and of course Shamu. But the part the kids liked the best was petting the stingrays. It took them awhile to try but after that, they had to return 3 times to pet them! One even tried to climb the side of the pool to get to Hannah (it must have thought she would be tasty).
Day 4 - Hannah woke with a fever. Not a good day for a fever. We had 9:00am reservations for a private tour of the SD Zoo. We didn't want to be out all of that money, so we went to the zoo. Luckily, we were driven around in a golf cart otherwise I think Michael's arm would have fallen off trying to carry her. As it was, we only stayed for the tour and didn't get to walk around on our own afterward. The tour was a good idea (thanks Michelle and Ira). We got to get up close and personal with two polar bears -- we had a polar bear within arms reach on both sides of us, it was very cool! We also got to feed the giraffes, some llama camel things, and stand a foot away while a panther was fed.
Day 5 - Disneyland!! What's not to love about disney? Sarah was scared of the characters and wanted nothing to do with the princesses but the rest of us loved it! We got to try out the new Star Wars ride (which either Disneyworld doesn't have or we skipped it last time we were there)....Hannah loves the rollercoasters and just couldn't get enough....Noah's favorite was the Buzz Lightyear ride.
today off to the Wild Animal Safari....tomorrow HOME!!!!
